What Does Bravynia Mean?
We created the name Bravynia, (bruh-vin-ee-uh).
It comes from Bravyn (brave, good, or honest) joined with — ia (place). Together they form Bravynia —a place where people are kind, brave and true. These are the principals we live by.

Chris brings over 20 years of real estate sales experience to every client relationship. Raised on a farm in Woodstock, Vermont, he developed a lifelong appreciation for the land, its history, and the quiet beauty of New England living.
After graduating from Bowdoin College, Chris began his career in New York City in magazine advertising sales, where he met his wife, Carole. He later earned his MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, working in management consulting and at an Internet startup before returning to Vermont in 2003 to raise their three sons.
Chris began his real estate career in 2005, and just three years later set a Vermont state record for the highest residential sale at the time - a private transaction in 2008. After many years with both Sotheby’s and Christie’s affiliates, he founded Bravynia in 2025 as a refined alternative to traditional MLS-bound firms, offering clients greater freedom and choice in how their properties are revealed and marketed, with an emphasis on discretion and privacy.
Carole Lang Client Experience & Operations
Originally from Northeast Arkansas, Carole is a graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. In 1989 she moved to New York City to join Revlon, first working in sales and training, traveling nationwide to help retail and drugstore teams sell their cosmetics more effectively. She later transitioned to Revlon’s product development division, creating and launching new lines of beauty and skincare products - all while relocating to Chicago, then Vermont, and raising three sons: Henry, Charlie, and Johnny.
In 2016, Carole became an independent sales representative for Rodan & Fields, quickly earning recognition as one of the top producers in New England. In late 2024, she joined Make Wellness as an independent sales representative for their proprietary line of all-natural peptide products.
At Bravynia, Carole blends her creative eye and organizational skills to coordinate property photo shoots, oversee staging, and manage day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring that every client experience is seamless and every property presentation is exceptional.
